Stake with Ease: You can now participate in staking with a minimal amount of $veTaker and earn rewards.
Stake through Nomination Pools
The minimum amount required to become an active nominator may change from era to era. If you have fewer tokens than the minimum active nomination requirement, you can join nomination pools with a smaller amount. For more details, check our wiki documentation on nomination pools.
Understanding Nominators
Who are Nominators? Nominators appoint their stake to validators, electing the active set of validators and sharing in the rewards. While validators actively engage in block production, nominators play a more passive role but perform due diligence when selecting validators.
Why Nominate?
Network Participation: Join a community aiming to build a decentralized and privacy-focused Web3 internet.
Security Contribution: Your bonded balance helps secure the network and can be used in governance to shape its future.
Technical Understanding: Learn how Taker Chain works and enhance your skills to possibly become a validator in the future.
Rewards: Earn staking rewards to keep up with network inflation and secure your investments.
Fast Unstaking
If your bonded tokens never backed any active validator, you can unbond them immediately. For eligibility and more information, visit the "Fast Unstake" section in our support article.
Setting Up Accounts
Stash & Staking Proxy It's recommended to set up separate stash and staking proxy accounts for security. Use a "cold wallet" solution for your stash account and consider establishing a staking proxy for added security.
Rewards Payout Account Choose where your rewards will be paid:
Back to staking: Compound rewards to your bonded amount.
To stash: Send rewards to your stash account as free balance.
To another account: Redirect rewards to a user-defined account.
Choosing Validators
Targets Page Use the Staking Targets table to sort validators by various metrics such as payout frequency, commission rate, total stake, and return. Carefully select validators to maximize your staking rewards while minimizing risks.
Validator Stats Research validator histories for statistics like era points, elected stake, rewards, and slashes. Ensure validators have a good reputation and infrastructure setup.
Good Nominator Practices
Required Minimum Stake The minimum stake required to nominate and receive rewards can change between eras. Ensure your stake meets the dynamic thresholds to qualify for rewards.
Active vs. Inactive Nomination Monitor your nomination status to ensure your validators are elected and actively supporting the network.
